When the weather starts getting really cold, I like to make homemade soups....vegetable, chicken (use the carcass after roasting a chicken for Sunday meal) potato leek soup, hamburg soup (that my mother use to make only I use seasoned turkey meat) beef stew, pea soup, turkey chili with a slice of homemade bread or rye/pumpernickel...my go to dinner and the house smells wonderful and comfy...besides, my friends and family like the care packages! AND I can control the fat and sodium, unlike canned soups.

I love cranberry-orange sauce made with 1can regular cranberry sauce, 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce, 2 tablespoons mincemeat and some orange Crystal Light drink powder (to taste), plus
some chopped walnuts. I sometimes add some chopped apple as well. YUMMM!

Beef Stew with lots of carrots, potatoes, and assorted root vegetables.
I used to love spaghetti squash, but I stopped loving it cos of the carbs, not really good for my belly (fat) but later I stumbled into I could eat spaghetti without having to worry about fat...it really made my day. I found it here: www.healthfitnessreviewpro.com
