The best gift for a foodie during the holidays, is a gift certificate to my favorite Alaskan seafood supplier: J-Dock Seafood Co.

A water filter, it reduces the pollutants in the foods you cook and eat raw.
You are less dehydrated because your water tasts good instead that funny taste you get when you drink the water. Senior should drink lots of water but they do not because of the taste of their drinking water. They can not afford a case of bottled water. A water filter that you change every 3 months or ever 40 gallons is the best. Charcoal is really great for filtering water. We need it in so many things I think people who have apartment houses should also filter their water. Some of the water from of their pipes is terrible tasting. Is that to much to ask. A person can drink filtered water better than what comes out of our pipes. That would be the best gift to give a senior living in an apartment house with other seniors, And anyone else that lives in an area were their water is not good. Lets not make the bottled water companies richer, lets let the filter manufactures who make this in America get richer that is were our money should go. And good charcoal made in America should also be used. Drinking water is drinking half the ounces your body weight is in ounces. Your arthritis will get better, your heart will be better, your skin will be better your diabetis will get better because you are not dehydrated. You will fill up your stomach and you will not want to eat as much.. It will help your lympth gland excrete better the toxins in your body, you will help your liver also. My point is that having good tasting water and a good filter to filter the water is the best present for someone who like to eat.

Best gift for a foodie? Finishing salts or infused vinegars fresh from my kitchen. Finishing salts because, well, it's salt and salt makes everything better and/or vinegars from my kitchen because it's something conveying that personal touch we all love!
