Chopped Chicken Liver (Saltine with crackers) and/or a Turkey.
Even if you dont eat liver no one can resist my Chopped Chicken Liver. I believe it's all in the chopping done with athletic stance and love. And of course, no one even takes a bite of anything 'til the turkey is on the table. Frankly, I haven't ever eaten a better one than the one I make. Just ask all the women who attend groups I'm involved with. I do enjoy cooking. My secret to Turkey(?) - baste inside and out with butter (oleo is ok), line pan with foil and cover bird with foil. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder (inside and outside), a couple of onion strips on top of breast and bake at 375 degrees for about 3 hours (using a 15 lb. bird). Around 20 minutes before you remove from oven take foil off top of bird and continue to cook until skin is golden brown. During the baking process (about every 30 minutes) baste with juices. After you've initially started baking turn on TV and tune in to channel TCM or other movie channel and watch a flick. You know, "go to the movies". By the time our bird is cooked the movie has ended and you've got a few hot meals, left-over turkey sandwiches and turkey soup.
I'm so hungry I think I'll buy a bird today.
