I intend to drink more water, walk at least 3 days a week (I already do strength training twice a week) and track my food intake.

Eat less and exercise more,,Nordic track is easy on the body,,crank up,the stereo and move ,,I have to just find a regime to follow when I go out of town,,I have knee pain so a lot of walking is out. Hugs all

I have begun to eat more vegetarian meals and will continue to try new ones. Eating Well recipes are a treasure trove. I look forward to each issue of the magazine, which I have given as a gift subscription to my vegetarian daughter and to my sister. I have an organized a trial folder full of recipe print-outs, and almost every one that I have tried so far is a keeper. These are put in plastic sleeves and filed in a keeper folder. I scan every email from Eating Well, and that's mainly where my collection of recipes-to-try have come from. The people who develop these recipes deserve a lot of credit and have my deep gratitude. At 75, I am cooking more meals than previously, and they are more nutritious and delicious! My greatest challenge is to eat smaller portions, and that is my primary goal for 2014.

I will continue cutting out all wheat products as I've done for 6 months now. My A1c is down from 7.2 the first part of June to 5.8 (December lab work), my lipid panel is ALL normal now and I've lost 35 pounds as of today. I eat No fruits except the berries occasionally -- straw, blue, black and rasp but no other fruits. I eat all the veggies I want except the starchy ones. I'm full and happy and thinner! I;'ve also cut my insulin injections by half. I no longer need ANY R and take only half the N or medium acting insulin.
My echo shows NO heart disease, My MRI shows NO plaque buildup and only 1 tiny spot of "dead" muscle in the apex of my left ventricle. Not bad for a 74 year old female.
My husband has decided to do the same thing because when he checked his blood with my meter, his was 325!! He was diabetic and didn't know it. So now he follows what I eat except he still uses 12 grain bread for toast first thing in the morning. He's no longer diabetic because his BG is usually lower than 100 but never higher than 120 and can eat the toast but I don't/won't.
It bothers me that your recipes have so much carbs and they are labeled "diabetic" incorrectly. You simply cannot have a diabetic recipe with 40 carbs in a single serving PLUS the rest of the meal!
In case you're going by the outdated and incorrect (recently and quietly revised) ADA guidelines, start getting the carbs out of your diabetic recipes.
If you feel the need to have all the extra, unnecessary carbs in the rest of your recipes so people can develop diabetes, that's your choice. It's a bad one but it's yours.

More raw, living, unprocessed foods at every meal. And more collecting of free wild supernutrition edibles; that way I get more exercise outdoors too!

I want to heal!! I'm sick of taking meds and feeling awful. I was taken to a class and the lady was taking about the Hallelujah Diet (Lifestyle). So I bought the book boy does it make a lot of sense. I've spoken to people who have been healed and that is what I want. So I went RAW no meat. Oh my God what a wonderful feeling. For me I've only been on it for a month and already see a difference. It isn't easy by no means but I am trying really hard. Read up. I've lost 9lbs.
