What bag do you choose at the supermarket checkout? (Comments & Reviews) (Page 1)

I try to bring my own, but I don't always remember. They don't ask, if I don't have my own they just use plastic.

I use paper in plastic. I recycle the plastic at the grocery store and I use the brown bags for recycling. My town has a recycling program

We use the plastic bags over & over again quite frequently. When we are through with them they are taken back to the grocery store and put in the recycle bin.

we use 9 bags of our own and sometimes we have to use plastic bags from the store. Our store gives credit for using our own bags . it is just a few cents but every little bit helps.

Whole Foods now doesn't offer anything but paper. When I buy large bags of organic carrots, I don't have them put in more bags. I buy so many groceries at once that I don't have enough bags to bring my own. However, I hope to increase my own bag supply to bring with me in the future!

No choice here; just plastic ones are available at the checkout in the Czech Republic.

I always bring my own bags and have for years. I sometimes ask for a paper bag to recycle my newspoapers and our garbage company recycles the bag. Our garbage company also has a state of the art recycling system where all garbage is sorted into recyables. We recycle whenever possible.
