If the FDA approves and labels genetically engineered salmon, and verifies it is safe for human health, would you eat it? (Comments & Reviews) (Page 7)


The FDA has often proved it doesn't have our best interests at heart. (example; allowing advertising to get away with 'labeling changes' to keep us buying 'bad for you' foods... fighting holistic remedies because they're supported by drug companies.) So, I'm suspect of the FDA - here's to us 'reluctant experts' researching constantly... I'm thinking side effects will emerge form the 'fake fish'... on the fish and us.

Is it selective breeding or are they really doing "something" to the genes? Perhaps I would for selective breeding. ABSOLUTELY NOT if they physically alter the salmon.
