I love the idea but with picky eaters in the house I don't think we'd eat all the things you get in a CSA so we're going to shop at the farmer's market. I think a CSA would be cheaper though...

I like the community aspect of going to the farmers market every week in the summer. But I've been considering signing up for a winter share. Has anyone had a good experience with that? I'm afraid of getting so many root vegetables I don't know what do to with them...

Eating Well is my absolutely favorite magazine in terms of its commitment to sustainability, consuming local products, ethical eating, and, of course, wonderful recipes. I belong to an Ethical Eating group and have highly recommended your magazine to all of the members. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Not joining one yet. Not many in our area. We need to make better use of our excellent farmers' market (twice weekly April-October). After that, we may join.

I am allergic to tomatoes, but I will be a volunteer at one. They are conduction classes on how to grow a garden. I am expecting some CSA in return for 6 weeks x 2 hours work.
CSA for 1 is not available.

All the CSA organizations in Cincinnati are full and have very long waiting lists.

I have never heard of any of them. We have a Costco but I don't buy peanut butter from Costo.I will look up the one at Safeway and try it.What about Adams all Natural (100% peanuts).

CSA's are a great thing? The abundance of food is the only obstacle for a family of 2. Your forced to prepare or store the food each week, it becomes laborious. My solution is buying local at farmers markets, I will be contributing to the local farmer while getting delicious and nutritious food. Its a win-win situation.

I have been a member of a CSA for 12 years. I love the variety. I have tried many different vegetables that I otherwise would not have chosen at the grocery store.

I watched Food, Inc. and then, for the first time, bought a CSA share to a wonderful, fully-organic, local farm. I'm expecting to use my "EatingWell In Season" cookbook frequently, and hoping to make some drastic, much needed changes in my diet.
