Red Blossom Sales is rapidly growing to be one of North America's leading strawberry producers. Incorporated in 2004, we've since grown to over 2,700 acres in California, Florida and Mexico. With strawberry consumption growing faster than any other fruit in the produce department, our goal is to meet this demand with a continuous supply of sweet, delicious, strawberries year round.
At Red Blossom, we aim to deliver the freshest, most flavorful strawberry experience that will bring shoppers back again and again … cultivating only the delicious, aromatic, eye pleasing varieties consumers desire.
Red Blossom introduced the strawberry industry’s first electronic trace back system. On the bottom of each Red Blossom clamshell is a unique code that can be inputted at www.rbtrace.com to reveal the product's source information. The site includes satellite maps that take consumers directly to Red Blossom farms. The "rbtrace" website was created solely for consumer traceability to give shoppers instantaneous access to product information such as grower, location, variety and date picked.
Red Blossom strawberries are brimming with vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants that help you lead a healthier, happier life. Strawberries, a known superfood, can improve memory and heart health while lowering blood pressure and cancer risk. All this beautiful, aromatic deliciousness is low in calories and sodium, plus fat and cholesterol free. A sweet, tasty treat that’s a sensory overload for your mind, body and spirit!
One serving of strawberries, about 8 strawberries, is an excellent source of vitamin C. In fact, a serving of strawberries provides more vitamin C than an orange. In a recent study, strawberries ranked second among the top ten fruits in antioxidant capacity (TAC), which is one reason why they may help prevent cancer and heart disease. Antioxidants (including vitamin C) are key to warding off chronic diseases and promoting optimum health. Research shows that the antioxidants in strawberries are efficiently absorbed within one hour after being eaten. Once absorbed, antioxidants fight free radicals that can cause chronic illnesses.
In addition to traditional nutrients, strawberries are also rich in phenolic compounds such as flavonoids and elagic acid, which are the focus of intense study due to their antioxidant, anticancer and antimutagenic properties. The majority of flavonoids in strawberries are anthocyanins, the compounds responsible for the blue, red and purple hues of berries.
Strawberries are one of nature’s healthiest and tastiest “packages” of power nutrients. A sweet, delicious indulgence for optimal health!
