It would have been helpful to find out if these people were of slim/normal weights or overweight that they used for this, and what the average height/weight was. I'm petite, in my 40s and of normal weight in terms of BMI charts. I use one of the online calorie trackers, and I exercise regularly, but I can tell you that I generally eat 1400-1600 calories a day, with an occasional excursion to 1800 calories on a special occasion day, and have a stable weight. That's WAY LESS than 2300 calories. I don't consider my metabolism to be slow, either. That's why I want to know who is eating that much, if I eat what I eat as a 40 something year old 110 pound woman... Was everyone tall--or were the people on the larger side in terms of girth?

This was great! I know from what my mom has told me about how her metabolism has slowed down. It has been very frustrating for her to say the least. I am trying so hard to make sure that I am eating whole and healthy foods at an early age and I drink lots of water. I also take my Vidazorb chewable probiotic every day so that I can get the most nutrients and digest these foods the best. I have also read how they help so much with weight too! I want to make sure that I always make healthy choices and hopefully when/if my metabolism slows down, I will still be in healthy fit shape.

A more appropriate title to this article would have been better, as this article didn't actual tell me anything about outsmarting age-related weight gain.
