quick question...looking especially at the dinners, it looks as though there are 2 main entree choices and then the following items below that are all of the sides to go with whichever selection, or do you just pick one of them? seems like a lot of food just glancing at it? thanks!!

I've been on the weight loss plan for a month now and have lost 11 pounds. It's only my husband and I. What I have been doing is cooking double for each day and basically having a free day from cooking every other day since we do left overs the next day. Many of the recipes are for 4 servings so not a big deal. I have found that my shopping order cost has actually gone down because I'm buying very specific amounts. It is time consuming but I'm happy with the results so far.

The calculation was pretty much right on for me...being 235 lbs...(have come down from 290 lbs) on my own through exercise and weight management...

this is the next step, I should be comsuming approx 1800 calories a day...according to the chart.

now to begin... looks definitely like something achievable... looking forward to having a go at this...

I am a single mother with three kids, as well as a full time student. It is not impossible to follow this plan. Being healthy is time consuming, but well worth the invested time. I love this eating plan! My kids have been introduced to new and exciting flavors and dishes.

I am on day 3 of the 1200 calorie 28 day diet plan and I'm in heaven. Wow! Heaven and diet in the same sentence! My only suggestion would be to add a message board to this site so we can communicate with others who are following these diet plans and ask questions of the experts as well.

I love the Eating Well recipes. There are 2 suggestions I would add to the meal plans. First, it would be nice to have an index listing all the recipes. And, second, it would be helpful to have a shopping list reference. I find it very time consuming to go to day 1, look at the menu, the recipes, write down the ingredients to buy...and, then, go to day 2, repeat, and so forth for 28 days. I think the format could be easier and more time-efficient to use.

I was inspired to diet by the recipes I saw here. I can't follow the daily meal menus exactly, but I choose something out of the breakfasts, then something out of the lunches, and the same for dinner. There are some foods we just can't eat, but this has been a great learning tool for me and I have been inspired to actually lose some weight. I have had weight problems my entire life and now I am retired and I am determined to take some of this weight off so I can have a healthy, longer, and comfortable life. It has also taught me some great things about cooking!
