I work 8-10 hours a day. It would be nice if the menu and recipes were close by the article. In addition the ingredients in my area of the U.S. are difficult to find. For the types of dishes in the menu, one would have to leave some cities/towns to find the item. By the time I've found everything, I'm ready for bed. Simple? Yes, if you have all of the ingredients on hand. Aren't there any recipes with the typical grocery store food, spices, etc that one could use? I love your books but there are only two people to feed and one will not eat left overs. Need something simple, Design something for people who are on the go and over 55 years of age. i weigh 264 lbs and if i multiply by 12 it equals 3168 minus 1000=2168. Which means i should round it to 2500. Is that right????? — Anonymous |

It tells me to multiply my weight (115) by 12. 115*12=1380. But on a 1200 calorie diet I would be maintaining, wouldn't I? And if I wanted to loose 2 lbs a week (which I really do), that would be 380 calories? So what am I supposed to do? — Anonymous |

I read this article in the magazine print and it stated to subtract 500 not 1000 from your number after multipying. This will give you a more acurate number. — Anonymous |

No one should eat less than 1200 calories a day. Your body goes into starvation mode at that level. I am 5" 1" and I have been losing on 1400 calories a day. I have lost 20lbs, but very slowly- 1 or 1/2 lb a week. So what if it is slow..I can eat 1400 calories and lose weight — Anonymous |

Looking at the plan for 1200 calories I'm amazed by how much food is on it. It also looks like a lot of cooking. I'm 5' 2" and currently weigh around 235lbs. I usually eat around 1200-1500 calories a day and it seems to maintain my weight. The only way I've found to lose weight is to consistenly exercise every day and drop down to around 1000 calories. That combination seems to work well when I can stick with it. Any advice for people like me? — Anonymous |

I was always taught that if weight loss rapid enough not to get discouraged and quit is the goal, 1000 cal/day is right for most women, 1200-1400 for most men. So, where's the 1000 cal/day option for us ladies? — Anonymous |
