It is important to eat protein first when consuming sugar and carbohydrates. It is essential to maintain a proper balance of blood sugar. It is true about red wine in moderation. Resveratrol is a high packed antioxidant found in red wine that can protect the body like any antioxidant. I do believe specific foods help to do specific things. God is very purposeful and when studied you will find how so many "healers" are in the food that He has given us. I suggest doing research before attacking an opinion you have not been informed on because it sounds foolish. Passion is a wonderful quality so is boldness but when given to a fool it only aids to his foolishness. — Anonymous |

While your recommendations are healthy and helpful, you might want to address the fact that eating fruit after a meal is not a healthy choice. After a meal of proteins and carbs (which by the way should not be eaten together at the same meal anyway), there is a digestion process to break down those foods that takes more time. Fruit on the other hand digests more quickly, and if eaten on top of a meal, will digest, breakdown, and want to be eliminated from the body quicker than the food eaten at the meal. Trying to push through to the colon and eventually out the body, the digested fruit creates bloating/gas, discomfort, and interferes with the disgestion process of the meal. There should be at least a 2-hour waiting period before putting fruit on top of a meal. Tip to remember: always consume the quicker-digesting foods first, and the slower/heavier foods on top. For example: carrot juice, salad, veggies, carb...in that order. Makes for a much more pleasant eating experience. — Anonymous |
