I have noticed that all packaged foods especially dry contain palm kernel oil not palm oil which is better. the food industry is killing us since palm kernel oil is fattier and is harmful to our health.
How can the FDA permit this in the USA.

Very True , 80 % of the results you get in google about palm oil is that that Palm oil is safer than palm kernel oil . Its been fed into our mind that saturated fat is bad for heart , Medium chain atty acid and short chain fatty acid gets digested easily it wont let to increase in Cholesterol (LDL ) . With almost 50% in Lauric acid in coconut oil and 48 % in Palm kernal oil - it has more healing properties than any other oil .
Did you know major constituent mothers milk is milk is mostly lauric acid ? Coconut oil is the only source with 50% lauric acid after mothers milk .

Please educate yourself on the difference between saturated and unsaturated oils. The idea that saturated oils are easier on your arteries is an old tale created by the oil undustry who did a hatchet job on public perception of coconut products back the 80's. It well known now in 2015, that the reverse is true. It's the polyunsaturates that have the health destroying fats. Read raypeat.comj. Ray Peat is the physiology expert that brought back coconut oil. He is a scholar, researcher, consultant, professor of biochemistry and on and on. All unsaturated oils peroxidize in your tissues, which is a toxic destruction that degrades them. These oils interfere with the most basic and important cell function, cell respiration of oxygen. I won't even get started on what it does in your brain as it peroxidizes there. All oils break down at room temperature as soon as you open the bottle and as soon as you swallow them.
