from the article "As little as one alcoholic drink a day can increase the risk of breast cancer, according to a 2009 study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. Researchers believe alcohol boosts risk of breast cancer by increasing estrogen levels, a known risk factor for breast cancer"
If this is true there would be a demonstrable link between a large percentage of those who have had breast cancer and their alcohol consumption. There isn't. This is an irresponsible thing to write. And what does that mean "researchers believe?" Does alcohol increase estrogen or not?
I could show you a study where people involved in care accidents ate carrots in the previous week. There is no link!

In fairness the rest of the article is pretty balanced with pluses and minuses.

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. My cholesterol went down, and my blood sugar went down since drinking red wine (not in moderation). Well, exercise is in that equation also. Scientists will always be researching things that are bad for you, which is everything you put in your body, so my motto is - live, drink red wine, and enjoy yourself. Life is way too short to worry about what's good and what's bad for you.
