I agree w/ the ginger for nausea, but ginger ale soda is NOT the way to get it. Ginger ale soda does NOT usually even contain "real" ginger, but flavoring. Go to a local Jamaican/Caribbean market or restaurant and get Ginger Beer (despite the name, NO alcohol is in this product). It has real ginger in it and will quell a sore tummy/nausea in minutes. It will also make you laugh b/ it tickles your nose a little when you drink it. BTW, it tastes a 1000x better than ginger ale.

In the North American market it's hard to get yogurt that doesn't have some sugar. You can in Europe but not to much here. Also pasturization is a issue too. Our yogurt is not what it use to be. That's for sure. A powdered probiotic might be a better choice.

If you are going to use yogurt instead of Monistat or some other cream, make sure it's sugar free.

Believe it or not, yogurt really works, just not the way you might think. I once had a period of recurrent yeast infections that started because I had contracted pneumonia and had to take antibiotics for about a month to get rid of it (I had back-to-back bouts and so was prescribed one 10 day course, followed by another). The result was that I contracted one yeast infection after another. The OTC products for yeast infections relief provided temporary relief but the infections kept returning. Finally, my doctor recommended that I use yogurt in place of the Monistat or GyneLotrimin creams. It was a little bit strange and a bit gross to think about, but I tried it and it worked immediately. The yogurt was very soothing. It only took a few days for the yogurt to do what several courses of yeast infection medicine coud not do. I haven't looked back since and rarely have infections now.
