I used Granny Smith apples and cooked them in a toaster oven. I checked after 45 minutes and found that the skins had split. We had something more aking to applesauce than baked apples. What might I have done wrong? If the problem was the toaster oven, maybe there should be a warning. I'm sure that there are many people who do not like to heat up their kitchens using an oven this time of year. (The taste was delicious.)
