I make a corn casserole with green chiles that is now my favorite Thanksgiving dish. I don't know why I don't make it any other time. I also cook and mash the white and sweet potatoes together.

I would be happy with a plate of turkey, and a healthy sized piece of sweet potato pie!

wide egg noodles made with the turkey drippings. It has been a family tradition since long before I was born and my kids and grandkids continue the tradition.

As someone who has dealt with an eating disorder my whole life, I can't say there's any food I look forward to eating. I am in recovery, but it's still one day at a time. Thanksgiving dinner only brings up awful memories for me, and I always felt so out of place living in a world where people live to eat.

That being said, the food that feels safest to me would have to be green beans, and I'd love to fix the recipe as presented in your magazine! Maybe it'll help me segue into the Thanksgiving dinner tradition without panic.

Rum (Captain Morgan) and Coke. I get pissy-eyed drunk, obnoxious and tell everyone exactly what I think of them. It only happens once a year and then for the rest of the year I am happy, happy, happy.
