Well, I'll admit it, I buy the Great Value brand whole wheat pasta from Wal-Mart. It's 88 cents a package and the flavor is mild so it doesn't overwhelm or have to be drowned in a heavy sauce to mask the taste. We really like it in our household.

I love Barilla's whole grain pasta line. It's 50% whole wheat, but it tastes like regular. I've slipped it by our picky parents without them noticing and now my mother-in-law gets it too!

The one's we like are: Bionaturae, Safeway Organics and Heartland from Walmart. Angel hair type is the best.

Try all of the Trader Joe's organic whole wheat pastas- even my picky kids like them, and they are only 99cents per pound.

Being a pasta lover who wants to eat right, I have tried them all and my #1 choice is NOT on your list. It is Barilla Plus Multigrain Pasta (ok....not whole wheat) but it IS made with Semolina, Lentils, Chicpeas, Flaxseed, Barley, Spelt, Oats and Egg Whites. It is high in Protein, ALA Omega 3 and Fiber and is delicious !!! Please check it out. I will buy nothing else ! Is also recommended by Bob Green's Best Life Diet. YUM !

I don't know what part of the country the judges were from, but the only name brand I recognized was Ronzoni -- haven't heard of any of the others -- apparently they aren't in major grocery stores in So. Cal. -- maybe in some specialized ones, but not major stores.
