EatingWell Taste Test: Natural Peanut Butters

By EatingWell Editors, December 2005/January 2006

Which is the peanuttiest? A panel of seven tasters reveal their answers.

"The best 100% Natural Peanut Butter I have every tasted is Parkers Peanut Butter. You find it in the refrigerated section. Company is located in Minneapolis. I buy it at Whole Foods in Chicago. Becca in Chicago "

I've always really liked Adams 100% All Natural for it's deep peanut flavor. I wish these reviews would include the names of ALL brands tested, even if only the top finishers are listed in order. Was Adams peanut butter (a leading national brand) tested and found unworthy or just overlooked ??

I agree where is Laura Scudders? Its always been my favorite. I think real peanut butter should only be peanuts and salt too. What's up with all these other additives? Really good peanut butter doesn't need it.

I agree with the other person's comment regarding Laura Scudder's peanut butter; I've tried many, but I always go back to Laura Scudder's. It has true peanut butter taste and it's just peanuts and salt. I eat it almost every day; it's so satisfying and delicious! I love the fact that it's natural and must be stirred and refrigerated. The more natural, the better. And, you can find it at Wal-Mart for a really great price!

If you want a good natural peanut butter you should try Naturally More. The ingredients: Roasted peanuts, wheat germ, flax seed, cane sugar, egg whites, honey and flaxseed oil. Good stuff and you can find it at many stores including wal mart. Also, made in the USA!
