
Although the humble hot dog is often the calorie bargain at any cookout—averaging less than 150 calories per dog—they are often loaded with saturated fat and packed with sodium. What about Hebrew National or Nathan's hot dogs? They don't have preservitives do they? Hebrew National are Koesher and do nor have scrap parts in them.

So where does Nathans, or Hebrew National fit in? These are the hot dogs I grew up with. They may not be the "healthiest," but doesn't taste and texture count for anything?

Look at the nitrites/nitrates in the ingredients....stuff to avoid.
