With its balanced mix of carbs and protein and rich supply of calcium and other bone-strengthening nutrients, (cow’s) milk certainly does a body good. But with so many choices on grocers’ shelves, how do you know which one you should buy? EatingWell helps you cut through the confusion with this guide.
I was so touched by your August article on the future of Milk. Especially about the struggle to save the small dairy farms. It made me change my mind on what I buy from now on. I never thought about it before now. Rather than give it to greedy corporations who don't consider the outcome of their decisions. I want to give back to the farmers who love what they do and how they care for the cows by feeding them the right things. I hope alot of people will take notice of how much it means to America and our local growers to be able to keep giving us good, natural food for the safety and good health of all of us and the generations to come..Thanks for the article and please continue to publish your eye openers for us to pray and do what we can to make a difference.

What about goats milk? I've recently switched but know that the fat is much greater than my usual 1% but the taste is so much better?

Organic milk is more so about what it does NOT contain, while it seems like this little article on it focuses more on the fact that it doesn't necessarily mean more vitamins. What it DOES mean: no added cancer causing hormones, the cows were not fed items that contain harsh fertilizers or chemicals (ie: no carginogenic fetilizers, hormone disruptors, neurotoxins or developmental reproductive toxicants). GO ORGANIC!

if you live in the PA/DE area, Natural By Nature dairy has a retail store in Avondale. They sell organic, grass fed milk that is creamy, rich and tasty. It is unlike any other brand I have ever tasted, and my kids are good for a quart a day (each!). It is sold in many of the local stores, but at a significantly higher price. At the Dairy store in Avondale, it is priced lower, and you get the freshest dates. I highly reccomend it!
