The article says that field corn, which is 99% of what is grown in the US and is used in many processed foods, is primarily from GMO seeds. You can avoid consuming them by eating fresh, local, in-season corn and no processed foods. Since only 3-4% of sweet corn (not field corn!) is GMO, if you're eating corn from a local grower, chances are you're eating non-GMO corn - but it's fine to ask your farmer if you want to be sure. They know what they're growing and are happy to share with you!

Sorry, i am still confused! Monsonto is adding a new genetically modified sweeter corn and that's good? Hello! No genetically modified food is good for you, not even a new breed of sweeter corn. Monsonto is trying to mislead people into thinking it is good. It was never tested. Our corn needs to be labelled "non GMO." And only 4% of our corn is GMO? I like to know where you got those figures.
