Are they any problems with eating dry oatmeal straight from the box as a quick snack. Do you still get all the nutritional and health benefits?

My breakfast of choice is steel cut oatmeal. I cook up a pot, add small cubed pieces of apple, raisin's or currents dried fruit of any knid. & ground flax seed. When heating it up I add 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, let them defrost in hot cereal & add soy milk. Enjoy
