I just finished booking a week-long summer vacation at the beach, and I can’t wait! But a week at the beach also means a week in a bikini. I’m not sure which is going to be the bigger challenge—finding a week’s worth of bikinis that I actually like or making my body bikini-worthy.

My dad is a gadget guy. (Seriously, have you ever met a dad who wasn't?) He also loves good food. So when it's time to give him a gift for Father’s Day, I like to pick something that satisfies certain requirements: it’s gotta be gadgety, it’s gotta be good and/or useful, and it must indulge his inner “foodie”. I am mad about seafood. Madly in love with how it tastes of the ocean: light, healthy and fresh. Wild fish are the last truly wild (as opposed to farmed) food that’s a regular part of the American diet. Fortunately, more and more companies, ranging from Walmart to Whole Foods, are sourcing their seafood sustainably and labeling it that way. And now that so much of the seafood in the Gulf of Mexico has been threatened by the oil spill (Louisiana has been the second biggest harvester of seafood in the U.S.) there’s even more reason to watch what we eat.
