For the most part, I don't buy food products that contain high fructose corn syrup. I have heard that the food manufacturers change the sugar molecules. By changing them, they accomplish two things. One, it fools that body into thinking it is not full, so people eat more. Two, people eat more, and still are unsatisfied in the hunger department, so they buy more. Eat more, not full, buy more.

HFCS is bad for you. I would imagine that the FDA is scared to outlaw it, simply because it would simply anger all the farmers that are growing corn for the expressed purpose of extracting the corn syrup and selling it to the mass producers of the HFCS agents. Yep, folks, as per usual it is all about the $$$$.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is BAD for your BODY, and its functions. I suppose these people that beat around the bush and quite frankly lie about the bad part of HFCS, are doing so, because they are either being told what to write, or they are simply getting paid for not getting it right. Anyone that has had any first hand medical knowledge with this HFCS knows it is not a good product and should be banned by the FDA. Obviously this is not going to happen, as there is entirely too much money being made on the product and the farmers in the corn growing states love the $$$$. So, let the medical profession make the bucks and the people suffer the results, per usual.....

Read every label and buy foods without HFCS. It is not healthy in any way. It is chemically altered poison. Just as hydrogenated fat is poison. You may spend 30 minutes in the bread or cereal aisle looking for something without HFCS but you will be rewarded with real food. You cast a vote with every food dollar you spend. Vote wisely.

I am having difficulty finding pure corn syrup. Nearly all has now has HFCS as an ingredient. It's cheap and everywhere.

If HFCS does not pack a higher sugar punch that table sugar, why is low-sugar jelly made with sugar while regular jelly is made with HFCS?
