It’s too hot and humid for me to consider turning on my oven or stove in the evening. I’ve got the whole no-cook dinner thing down and am well versed in making my whole meal on the grill, but what about dessert? Steak dinners are a special treat in my house. In fact, my husband and I don’t usually buy steak to make at home because it can be expensive. So I save my steak splurges for restaurant meals.
But last week I was craving steak and trying to justify the cost as I stood in front of the meat case at the supermarket when I realized how silly my thinking is. I could make 5 steak dinners at home for the price I would pay for one meal in a restaurant.
