Now that it’s back-to-school time we’re all busier, but that doesn’t mean we can skip feeding the kids (or ourselves) before we head out the door. I never leave the house without eating a healthy breakfast. In fact, I don’t do anything before breakfast. I head straight from bed to the kitchen for coffee and whole-grain cereal with fruit and skim milk. Unfortunately, since I’m half asleep I tend to eat the same thing every day. Breakfast rut!

I need to mix it up a little, even throw in a “hot item” on occasion. These four healthy EatingWell breakfast recipes make it easy to eat something delicious and different than cereal and still get out the door fast....

I recently visited Washington, D.C., and hosted a cooking demo at the small, up-and-coming H Street market to promote our new EatingWell in Season book. The most popular dishes? The amazing tomato recipes we made with farm-fresh tomatoes from the table in the picture below.

(Four people picked strawberries and one picked blueberries as their first choice.)

So in the spirit of our summer fruit debate I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite EatingWell raspberry dessert recipes, including decadent Frozen Raspberry Pie, with those of you who love...

But around 8 p.m. the mosquitoes finally get me inside to make dinner and at that point I’m HUNGRY. So dinner recipes that are ready in 20 minutes or less are my go-to.

Since I try to make dinners using the vegetables I pick in my backyard—tomatoes, zucchini, dark leafy greens, lettuce and lots of fresh herbs—I tend to make a lot of Italian-inspired recipes. Here are a few of my favorite speedy summer recipes that can be prepped in 20 minutes.
