One thing I have made that people loved was mulling syrup. I made it for the teachers at my son's school one year. It is not much harder to make huge batches than small ones, so it is easy to make enough for everybody on your list. People think only of wine or cider at first, but it can be used with pancake syrup to go on waffles and pancakes (I wouldn't use it straight). It can add an interesting twist to your baking. Put some in your tea or coffee for an extra flavor punch. You can use it pretty much anywhere you would use sugar or syrup. Hmmm, I may have to try it in my next pecan pie.
