Starfruit are sensational for not only cold and flu but in taste as well - eat well!!

When you said "winter fruit" I thought, "Oh good, this is going to be about eating seasonally!" Nope. It's a lot of tropical fruits that have to be flown from halfway around the world, with the exception of pomegranates. Pineapple is NOT a winter fruit and can't be grown in most of the USA. And I'm sorry, it just doesn't taste the same here as it does in Hawaii.

Not one mention of apples? Persimmons? Pears? I'm finding all of these at very reasonable prices at our local farmers markets. The apples are particularly wonderful right now. Granted, I'm in Calfornia, but surely these are available elsewhere too.
