The secret to killer guacamole

Carolyn asks: Are you one of the people who would argue that making guacamole with anything more than avocados, salt and lime juice is a recipe for disaster? What do you put in your best guacamole recipe?

s&p, lime juice, fresh cilantro, minced swt onion (if on hand), Sriracha for the kick. if I made fresh pico, it would suffice to simply marry an avocado with half the size (of avacado) of pico and a cupla drops of sriracha and dig in.

i dont eat guacamole. I eat avocado with a little sugar or honey. the avocado is naturally sweet. no need to make a big production out of it or make a fancy savory dip

I had to make this three times during the Super Bowl Game.
Guacamole Grande:
1 medium avocado,
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup diced green chiles (from a can, drained)
1 large garlic clove, crushed.
Mix together and enjoy

I like to squeeze fresh orange, lime, and lemon juice into the bottom of my bowl, then diced avocado, mash together and then add diced tomato and thinly sliced and diced onion, and fresh cracked pepper.

I add tomatoes, red onion, Worcester sauce, and cumin to my guac!

When I was growing up we always made guacamole by mashing avocados and pico de gallo with a fork. It was delicious!

My Guacamole is avocado, lemon juice, salt, pepper, 1 small freshly crushed garlic clove, cilantro, chopped tomatoes and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Yum!

I'm pretty much a GUAC purist and the only things i add are a couple of cloves of garlic pushed through a press and some diced red onion.

Fresh Roma tomaties, diced. Not too small, not too big, I like my guac to have a little heft to it! And I never, EVER "moosh" my avocado. That is diced as well, again, not too small. A MUST is also a sweet Vidalia onion...not too big though, about the size of a tennis ball.
