I have been pickling every year an canning fruit since ever food for the winter . Friends have made fun of me doing this but i just say i know what is in my food i eat.

I would like to pickle baby cucumbers. Do i keep them whole with the skin or should i peel them? Also, when you have made the brine, do you pour it onto the vegetables when still hot, or do you wait until it's coll to cover the vegetables?

You're right--there's nothing like a PICKLE! Just an xtra note--I save my pickle jc. for hard-boiled eggs. They are ready to eat on about the 3rd day and last for a few wks. Delicious and protein-ous!!
