Years ago, a friend gave me a recipe for easy sweet pickles. You buy a gallon of pickles, I don't remember what kind. Add something to the purchased pickles. After a few days it changes the favor and taste of the pickles. They were great, I used it several times. We have moved and I am unable to find the instructions and it has been quite a while..
Have you heard of that recipe and if so, could you please send it.
Thank you so much.].

I already pickle and can the veggies I get from my garden the only advise I can add is when you make your brine taste it before you add it and adjust the salt or sugar to you liking, you cannot do this afterwards once you're happy with the taste continue as outlined

i know it might be a dumb question. this will be my first time pickling,(i have always bought mine so i want to try this summer) do you cool down the brine? before filling the jars? or you pour it hot? or differently with different vegies? I read different articles yours is better but thats the only step that i dont understad.

I am wanting to dump dried okra into jalapeno juice (from pickled nacho slices of jalapeno). How long should I let it soak?
