I'd like to slightly pickle fennel. Preferably sweet pickling.

I like pickled veggies and am here to see if tomatoes are ever pickled. I'm shaping up to a bumper crop in the back yard and want to keep as many as I can.

I had no idea!!!!
Being half German, I remember the taste of pickled gherkins from childhood.
Living in Belgium now, it's not somethings that is widely done here.
And I had NO IDEA that there were so many possibilities for pickling!!!!
Love how you've set it all out and your pages are clear, easy to read and easy to understand.

i recently followed a similar recipe that said for best results to let veggies sit in the fridge for 3 weeks. Today is the day and i looked and one of my little cucumber discs floated to the top and now has a small spot of white fluffy fuzz on it. Do you know if this is safe to scrape off and eat the rest?
