How does your burger compare to the calories in a McDonald’s Big Mac?

Er... the big mac has cheese. Your burger does not. And without the center bun, you're not really making an accurate comparison, are you? Those missing calories are in that extra bun and cheese, not some mysterious quality fast food magically has by virtue of being popular to despise.

Matt, glad to see you included the 'Bun." Is it overlooked too often when writing about burgers. I find Meat Grinders a healthy way to control fat content. www.MeatGrindersNow.com.

Nice article. Also, I've been making this (which may of may not be even better for you):
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/actually-delicious-turkey-burgers/
Which are, like the recipe says, actually delicious turkey burgers. It's the only recipe that I've found that we all REALLY like.
