5 kitchen tools you didn't know you needed

My cutting glove. I'm the clumsiest when it comes to sharp objects. We using a mandolin slicer or sharp knife I wear the glove to protect my fingers and or knuckles. It has lessen the blood-letting in the kitchen..lol.

Bird's Beak -- a fruit carving knife with a blade 1 3/4th". Very handy for detail work.
Sharpened mellon baller for scraping out the cucumber seeds, etc. It didn't come sharpened.
A round beach rock for smashing garlic. My knives are expensive & sharp & I don't like beating on them.

Three things that I find very handy that I keep in a drawer are:

Hammer
Screw Driver
Plyers

They have nothing to do with cooking but I use them quite often !

A hard plastic scraper (squarish.) Very simple, but very useful. Bought it for stoneware (that I don't use) but use it for cleaning pots and pans from Pampered Chef.

A sereaded peeler. It makes it much easier to peel fruit.

A citrus peeler from Tupperware. It was a freebie about 50 years ago. It's a plain yellow stick with a wedge on one end and sort of a "hook" on the other. It keeps the user from getting orange peel under their nails. I love it.
