Left tomatoes out, it attracted fruit flies. Put it in the fridge instead, and still fresh.

I would like to hear from Ms. Meyer what methods she uses to prevent ants, flies, cockroaches and all other manner of insect life from filling her home, when she has all these fruits and vegetables being stored in plain paper bags, or in bowls on her kitchen counter.
I'm not being sarcastic, I really would like to know. Please.

I wrap all leafy greens and herbs in a damp tea towel. It takes them weeks to spoil. Make sure towel is always damp though, never wet.

I'm tempted to get a mini-fridge and set it as warm as I can just for potatoes. Room temperature for me averages 80F or more and potatoes quickly get soft. I think I'd rather risk having a slightly sweet but firm potato than the soft ones I can't, and won't waste. :)

Celery. Trim off the bottom so you have a fresh green end and store upright in the refrigerator in water like you would roses. Change water every couple of days

35 degrees is a freezer not a fridge.

I am storing my new potato's in the plastic tubs where I have grown them. They seem ok at the moment ,maybe as the weather gets wetter and colder I will have to remove them and store as suggested in this article.
