Incorrect facts in this article. Most tub margarines today contain nearly no saturated fat, maybe 1 or 2 rams; butter contains 6 grams for the same amount and a trace amount of trans fats. No tub margarines today contain trans fats or hydrogenation. Stick margarines are hydrogenated. Canola oil and safflower oil are perfectly healthy and have no more GMOs than do cows which are bred for milk and meat production and are given hormones among other drugs. Butter is an animal fat, margarine is a vegetable fat. Both contain color and salt and other chemicals the dairy industry unfortunately doesn't have to list. Margarine, because it is a vegetable product contains no cholesterol. Both are excellent products and have their uses.

Canola oil is N-O-T heart-healthy, nor healthy AT ALL. Please do your research ... it's GMO poison.

What about butter from grass fed cows? I've read/heard that it should be healthier.
