Michelle asks: What home remedies work for what ails you?

The yogurt thing definitely works for me. I don't know if this is true, but I heard that added sugar in yogurt negates the power of the good bacteria when combatting yeast. So I stick to plain yogurt and it seems to do the trick.

I heard that sardines are the better fish for you. Better than salmon. Is that true? Cindy

The reason why I believe ginger ale does not work, is because a lot of ginger ales do not contain real ginger in them. When I was seasick from whale watching tours or dinner cruises, I took ginger pills and they seem to help a great deal. The Chinese, who cook with ginger often, believe that it aids in digestion. That maybe why Chinese food makes you feel hungy 30 minutes later, hahaha :)

Here's the truth and you will know this after you've lived a few decades longer, Michelle. Through the decades, tehy have done studies and more studies, published the findings in article after article. Sooner or later, each study contradicts the earlier studies, which proves what any intellegent, savvy person who's been on the planet longer than 45 years knows: No one knows what foods are good for you for this ailment or that ailment. At one time, a study found coffee bad for us, eggs too. These days the studies show otherwise. No one knows. Period. What we do know is this: fruits, vegetables, whole grains and water are GOOD for us. Ignore the studies and ignore the articles written about them, eat the above and you'll live a long and happy life.
