I have friends in Paris whose kids eat Nutella every single day at breakfast. Nutella should remain an occasional treat, not an every day food.

Yes, there is a big health difference between palm fruit oil and palm kernel oil. Palm fruit oil has many benefits. And isn't Nutella made with the fruit oil, not the kernel oil?

Wait a second... You mean people thought Nutella was a health food? I seriously, never, ever, ever would have guessed that anyone could have believed that to be true. It tastes about as healthy as frosting on a donut. Delicious in moderation but it's just too sickly sweet for anyone to possibly eat a lot of it in one sitting.. right? I'm not going to stop eating it because of the Palm Oil but please, if you think Nutella is Healthy, Step Away From The Jar!!!

No, palm oil is really not a major inhibitor to me. Much more dangerous than oils are the toxic chemicals which we have used for years to clean our dinnerware---that's right....dtergents with fragrances in them. Moreover, those detergents are made from oil waste from petroleum processing, hence the NEED for those manufacturers to add fragrances(also made form chemical and pertoleum WASTE): to cover up the chemical smell of their products, which no one would buy if they knew how bad they smelled without the fragrances. Same is true for detergents, fabric softeners, air "fresheners, scented candles, and cleaning products. We stopped using that garbage on our dinner plates, and now use only vegetable based surfactant soaps(like 7th Generation) and we only subscribe to magazines that advocate actual healthy lifestyles(like Eating Well) which do NOT accept advertisements from companies which produce unhealthy products. You cannot rust labels...but the MSDS sheets are a treasure trove of real info...the companies HAVE to know how toxic their products are...but they keep selling them. And people are often too unmotivated to fing out. Makes me laugh really...they'll jog, drink plenty of water from a bottle, and claim to eat organic foo...but they won't give up their scented products...which are linked to real cancers and respiratory illnesses. Sorry if I hi-jacked the blog, but I mean, really!!! Palm oil?
