Partially hydrogenated cotton seed oil is transfat and causes cancer. That means girlscout cookies cause cancer. The organization uses free child labor to push this garbage foot. Isn't unpaid child labor ilegal in this county? just say to these cute little death dalers

Thank yoor dry much for mentioning the partially hydrogenated oil. I've known about the loophole and always look at the specific ingredients to make sure this type of fat is not listed before purchasing products. For this reason, I will not buy any Girl Scout cookies. Other manufacturers have reformulated their cookies and crackers, so I feel that the GS folks can, too--and that this organization in particular ought to be promoting awareness of substances potentially harmful to consumers' health, and certainly not marketing and profiting from products that contain such things.

Sadly these cookies are made with hydrogenated and genetically modified soy. For about $10/lb they aren't worth it to me. They also don't have as much flavor as they used to.

My favorite cookie is the Dolce de Leche.
I never look at the nutrition information - this is a once-a-year treat.
Please support your local Girl Scouts! :-)

Samoas and thin mints have long been my favorites. UGH! I will never buy them again and stick with Trefoils, which I also like. When did we start poisoning our children in the name of convenience? Shame on us. I think we can do a better job producing foods that are nutritious and flavorful. I see some progress has been made in that direction. Let's keep working on it for the good of all.

They come once a year. I myself donate the money to the girls and tell them they can keep mine to resell their for making more money. They love it.

I love Samoas/Caramel deLites, so it figures they're the most unhealthy Girl Scout cookie. I won't stop eating them completely, but I've only ordered one box versus my usual three (hey - I'll save them for the rest of the year, right?! Yea, that never happens...). There's no way I could ban these bad boys from my life!

Samoas, Lemonades, Thin Mints & Tagalongs are truly yummy. I have in the past shared my box with co- workers. This would keep me in line with my desire to eat them. So now I cut back on these delicious cookies. I have found companies which imitate these very well ...at much reduced calorie and w/o containing partially hydrogenated oil.
Thank you , this helped me to choose my treats better. And to remember to READ the labels ingredients

My favorite cookie is the thin Mints and of course I can't eat just one, they are the best in taste for me but I do also love the Trefoils, my daughter loves the Tagalongs but she is thin and can eat as many as she likes. LOL..
