I love them straight out of the can! BUT they are good scrambled up w/eggs. Serve w/ buttery grits. Yum. I'm from the south! LOL Sandy Spencer

i've been a sardine lover for most of my life. i'm in my 70's, and was brought up eating them. mostly just the way they come from the can, with a bit of chopped onion or scallion, and a squeeze of lemon. i prefer the skinless/boneless, packed in olive oil...but enjoy them with the skin and bones as well. never tried them with the mustard or tomato sauce....guess i'm a purist!!!!!!

I love sardines. I prefer the little guys in olive oil with the skin and bones on a fresh salad at lunch. For dinner, I will put them in tomato sauce either homemade or a jar puttanesca sauce with spelt pasta. Yum!!

Sardines in mustard sauce, roughly chopped and served inside a baked potato. Maybe some chopped chives or parsley.

I love sardines! They make me think of my grandmother. We ate sardines together when I was a little girl. Here's the simple method... we drained the sardines and put them in a bowl with vinegar, mashed them up a little, and spread on saltines. YUM.
