Is posting calorie counts on restaurant menus enough to help us be healthier?

It would be much more helpful if they listed all of the ingredients rather than the calories.

Yes, prominently displaying nutritional information on the menu board in fast food restaurants will change the way I order. My boyfriend and I quit smoking last year and decided to incorporate a healthy diet and exercise into our lives at the beginning of this year. Planning for this change, I'd been reading up on diet and nutrition and was absolutely amazed/disgusted by what we were consuming every day! The caloric intake alone was astounding... Although a major component of our new diet is eating a balanced array of whole foods prepared at home, we are not eliminating anything. We are using our new knowledge of nutritional labels to make better choices when we occasionally eat out.
