Outside of avoiding sweeteners, especially the artificial variations, there isn't much choice except for plain old sugar. When I choose to indulge I much prefer the more natural alternative rather that stoking my body with artificially made sweeteners. Honey, yes I use it, love it, sometimes crave it, especially when I indulge in waffles, pancakes or a piece of homemade cake. Is it better than sugar, I'm not convinced. In short, I watch what I eat, treat sugar as a special treat and don't worry about it too much.

Humans, like any other animal, have evolved drinking only water. Any beverage with added sweeteners is not natural. Koolaid and Coke don't belong in nature. My resolve is: if you can't find it in or on the ground, don't eat it!
