Yes. There are studies that have shown that people that consume higher levels of hfcs have more fat accumulated around their heart and liver area. Studies, plural. And hfcs is a man-made, chemically modified product, produced from largely genetically modified corn. That's enough Information for me.

Less than 4 months after this was posted a study done at Princeton concerning HFCS was released. The study showed that even with the same number of calories lab rats gained significantly more weight when dining on HFCS than on regular sugar.

I am not sure what I read, is it worse or not? Sounds like you are saying it is not, up until I read this I was avoiding it at all costs cause I was told by 2 RN's to avoid it. Now I am not so sure?

I know form first hand experience that each time I eat any processed food with HFCS, I am not able to STOP eating it. I know first hand , I get constipated, bloated and gain weigh while consuming HFCS.

Yes... in additional to the issue of whether it is worse than sugar, it does contain toxins (mercury and others) which create inflammation and other issues with your immune system and metabolism. Despite FDA approving the use of the term "natural' for HFCS, I believe their criteria is too loose. Also, the process to make it is chemical and more involved. See earlier part of this article.
