How to know if your obsession with food has crossed the line

Nicci asks: What triggers out-of-control eating for you? What healthy distractions keep you from bingeing?


Triggers for me include stress, going too long between meals, lack of physical activity, eating sugary foods too early in the day and for some reason coffee. Going for a walk, cleaning my house, reading and just basically either refocusing my attention or getting away from the food. Drinking water or green tea helps as well.
