Gretel asks: Do you avoid eating garlic or onions before meeting someone?

Yes. Some people don't mind the smell of garlic or onion but others can be offended. In my line of work (I'm a receptionist), I have to be particularly sensitive to such things as I work with diverse members of the general public and I'm the 'face' of my company. So I always make sure to have mints handy, keep my dental groom up to speed and avoid scents I know could cause offense.

Flossing isn't just for dislodging food wedged between your teeth. Regular flossing may reduce gum disease and bad breath by removing the bacterial film (plaque) that forms along the gum line. You can read more about it at

I always avoid having lunch with garlic especially when I have Vocal lessons in the afternoon of the same day.
