There are NO foods that you CAN NOT eat. You can eat anything in the proepr portion for you. I personally choose to eat no cane sugar or foods made with them. By doing this, it makes my other food choices much easier. i follow a simple phrase in my food choices.Avoid the whites (Sugar, Bleached Flour, White Rice, Potatoes in other words carbs.)Avoid meats with fur.Eat meats with feathers or fins.Following this method of eating, I took my A1C from 9.9% to 5.9% in under six months. Your glucose levels are what are important as a diabetic. Your A1C is an average of about three months af your glucose levels.Good Luck!

I don't know for sure but I drink only water and nothing else. Usually water with lots of lemon. I have noticed that the days I work out my body wants more water. I try to keep a bottle of water with me all the time, so I can drink. I have some rules for me how to drink more water:
* start the day with a glass a water
* drink a glass of water after every meal
* drink lots of water after and before work out
* if i am hungry and its not time to eat yet - glass of water.lol
I have also noticed that when i am getting sick lots of water can help me feel better, especially if i have allergy problems.
