Kerri-Ann asks: What kind of turkey do you prefer: white or dark meat?

Why on Earth are you still promoting the saturated fat scam?!

i prefer the kind with the most skin, which i guess is dark meat.

it's interesting that white meat is supposed to be lower in calories, because my baby food jar of turkey breast claims to be higher in calories than my baby food jar of just turkey (assuming that one is dark turkey). same brand, same serving size.

Dark meat.........moist and more flavor. Let the yuppies eat breast.

I always thought dark meat caused kidney problems

Dark meat simply tastes better, but there's a reason for that of course (the fat). From an enjoyment/taste standpoint, dark meat wins hands-down... but from a daily healthy-eating standpoint with an eye towards increasing protein and decreasing saturated fat and refined carbs, I pick white meat every time.

dark--it's moister and doesn't dry out like white meat; I think it's tastier, too.

Dark meat is juicer and more flavourful and provides more zinc and Iron, I opt for 2 ounces of each as they both have nutritional advantages.
