have done except dont have meat 2 days a week every one should try it its so easy with such a variety of food available you dont miss meat at all

I've been vegan for over two years. Before that we ate meat once a week, which my husband does now.
We do not use any eggs or dairy products. Because of the creativity of many companies and a number of vegan genius cooks, we do not miss meat, or for that matter, animal products, at all. It takes some education and creativity, but it can be done. The internet has many sites that provide information and recipes for everything you could possibly want. We even made it through Passover without eggs or dairy.
Quinoa was a big help.

YES!! Already have for going on 5 weeks now. No meat for me!! I feel much better. I have lost a few pounds too! I am diabetic and did it for my health. I have not had any problems not eating meat. the problem I am having is try to be creative with my food ideas!!

In a house with a toddler and a meat loving husband it is tough, but I try to do at least one vegetarian meal and two fish meals per week. Meatless meals that tend to go over well with the little guy and the big guy are anything with eggs (quiche or breakfast for dinner), curries, hearty soups and burritos/quesadillas. I make the quiche with a brown rice crust and substitute some of the whole eggs for egg white.

Of course, already do, every Friday for life, to remember that Jesus died for our sins. Just a small way to keep this fact in my mind and a small token of thanks to our Lord and Saviour.

Yes!!! The last two years my husband and I have been cutting down on red meat. We would have poultry twice a week and fish twice a week. The other 3 days were meatless.
This January we stopped eating red meat, pork & poultry all together. We still eat fresh fish (halibut, flounder, fluke and salmon) but no meat at all.
We have been eating alot of large salads for dinner. Eggplant, Zucchini, Squash as well as, green/red/yellow/orange bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes and celery seem to be main staples on a bed off baby romaine and baby spinach. Delicious. We feel much better:)

I can and have had many meals without meat on the plate in any way shape or form. But, I love meat, don't want to be a vegetarian, hate the taste of lentils and many other types of meat substitutes including tofu and got incredibly sick when I tried seitan. But I do love beans and cook them often, usually with ham hocks.
I also get sick with horrendous headaches when I eat any food with aspartane, stevia or other artifical or low calorie foods too which makes them easy to stay away from.
So, other people can enjoy what they like to eat, just please, let me eat what I like too and don't lay a guilt trip on me for doing it..

Absolutely - and I've been able to teach my husband that meatless meals can be satisfying and tasty as well. I've been planning at least two or three meatless meals a week for the last six months and have served beef only once in the past year. The key for us seems to be to keep the menu varied and creative.
