I was wondering if you have a good Cardio-Diabetic-Reno diet, yes I have good genes from both sides, both had all three of these; and one had bone cancer when they died at 82. I was a daily runner until I was 39, when I had a coronary 4 by-pass surgery (no heart attack). I still ran 10 years after my heart surgery. Unfortunately since then I have had 7 stint placement in my veins. I am 60 now and about 2 years ago I entered into Stage 1 kidney failure, what both of my parents died from, two years I am still in stage 1. Most nutritionist I have ran into mainly stick with there textbooks. I still walk every other at least a 1/2 mile. I am still active in ministry and keep very active in that. Being on Social Security Disability, our money is limited for food and so we stick with the cheapest but still read labels. We (my wife and I who is a brittle diabetic) need a good healthy diet. My exercise is minimal because I take 240mg of Imdur everyday, so angina is a problem for me, but I am not a couch potato and never will be. The foods that you mentioned I love so that is good news. Maybe you have a site I can go to, to get some good sound information. You seem to teach rather than lecture, my kind of teaching.

U should eat fruit on an empty stomach. If u eat fruit after your food, it sours your stomach and causes gas and bloat.

Up until a few years ago, I believed like most of us seem to, that eating animals foods was OK and possibly even nutritious. Now, after years of trying a vegan diet and doing lots of research, I am convinced that torturing and murdering animals is a huge mistake not only for the animals, but for our health, as well... and for the health of the planet!

Nice to know about potatoes! I bought into that one. I use allot of olive oil alresdy! Heard that "Good Fat", ie salmon, olive, canola oil, peanutbutter, almonds and walnuts etc. accumulates on hips bottom and arms. Brown Fat, healthy fat on the body, in contrast to abdomenal fat-the really bad stuff. What if one has some abdominal fat, but works out allot, and has strong abdominal muscles? Is this sheath of muscle protective of the abdominal organs? Protecting them from the fat? My doctor cannot answer this question! I will look for answers here!, Best, Patty

What about Avacado? I have always been told they are very bad for you, but have recently been reading that they are actually a good fat. Mary
